MH Civil Constructors will begin erosion repairs near Lake 6 Dam on Canyon Lake Drive starting June 8. Both lanes will be closed during construction as crews repair damaged areas and install infrastructure to reduce future maintenance needs.
The City of Lubbock will begin pavement repairs on University Avenue between 50th Street and Loop 289 starting Monday, June 8. The project is expected to last about 11 months, depending on weather. Drivers should expect traffic changes, delays, and detours as construction crews complete the street improvements project.
The Texas Department of Transportation will convert the FM 1585 and Milwaukee Avenue intersection to an all-way stop on June 9. The change will require eastbound and westbound traffic to stop, along with existing southbound stops. New warning signs and a reduced 55 mph speed limit will also be added.
TxDOT will begin pavement repairs Thursday on the west Loop 289 southbound frontage road between 26th and 34th Streets. Lane closures are expected as crews mill and resurface the roadway over a two-day period.
